ANGLING NEWS.
The Jubilee Pools Open at Bishampton was fished on Saturday where Richard Mathews had an easy win with a fine net of carp weighing in at 62lbs 8ozs.
In second place was Stu Thompson with 29lbs 4ozs and third was Derick Hopkins 18lbs 6ozs.
The section winners were Glyn Blewett 15lbs 8ozs and John Cox10lbs 8ozs.
On Sunday it was the Needles A.C,s match on the river Alne at Great Alne where pike dominated and Ian Owen hadone with small fish for a winning weight of 8lbs 5ozs from peg 15.
Glyn Blewett had a similar catch for second place with 6lbs 15ozs from peg five.
In third place was Trevor Cleverley 6lbs 4 ozs.
The section winners were Barry Feldhahn 5lbs 9ozs and Dave Lewis and Bob Brazil both having 2lbs 15ozs.
